Research suggests honey is the “bee’s knees: for treating infection.

Over  the last 30 years a large number of reports have been published on in vitro studies investigating the antibacterial activity of different types of Leptospermum medicinal honey. These reports have been compiled by honey research facilities such as School of Molecular and microbial Biosciences, University of Sydney, NSW, Australia and Honey Research Unit – Waikato  University in New Zealand.
